International Leasing
On-hire Procedure

When you make booking, you will be supplied with a release reference. The reference will include:

  • The quantity and type of unit(s) booked
  • Contact details for the depot
  • Validity period of reference

A copy of the latest test certificate (for tank units) will also be sent and if required a pre-trip inspection will be conducted (for refrigerated units) will also be sent. If a copy of the cleaning certificate (tanks) is needed, this can be provided.

The container will have been repaired to industry recognised standards. These repairs will have been inspected for quality to ensure that the unit is fit for service. Customers  may opt to carry out a survey of the equipment (all unit types) independently. If you have arranged with a third party survey company to inspect the container on your behalf, the depot will assist in this.

For a billable fee, GE SeaCo can provide an on-hire survey completed by an independent survey company. Once inspected, the container can be collected at any time during depot opening hours within the validity of the release reference. Typically references are valid for a month from the date of issue. For any further enquiries, please contact the local Customer Service Centre.
