Bulk containers

GE SeaCo has a range of special bulk containers designed for cargoes for which bagging would be uneconomic or inconvenient. Roof hatches enable producers of chemicals, granular products and other dry, free-flowing materials to load directly into a bulk container. Special discharge hatches provide the convenience of discharging directly into a manufacturing process once the container has arrived on site.

When a 30ft bulk unit is not required specifically for bulk materials, regular cargo can be accomodated using the container as a two-palletwide dry box.

Ventilated containers

For the transportation of moisture-sensitive cargo, such as cocoa, coffee and high value electronic equipment, GE SeaCo's 20ft ventilated container is the ideal unit. Designed and developed with special ventilator panels either side of the container, a venturi is created, drawing cool air through the base vents and expelling warm, moisture-laden air through the top.

The unit benefits from the simplicity of the design as there are no mechanical parts to fail. Lease rates are competitive against a standard dry freight container and the cost savings to a manufacturer or carrier previously using air freight are considerable.
